The Portland-based Indian cuisine restaurant is crossing state lines sometime this year.
Zaiqa Indian Cuisine recently announced on social media that a new location will be opening at 536 Royle Road, Suite 7 in Ridgefield, Washington. This is a restaurant known for Indian and Pakistani cuisine in Northwest Oregon. Right now on their website, the new location is listed as coming soon.
The restaurant is currently in Lake Oswego, Wilsonville and South Waterfront. What Now Portland previously reported on Zaiqa opening the South Waterfront location in May 2024. Their latest location to open was in Lake Oswego this June.
The Ridgefield location will be open 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Sunday. It will be near restaurants like Taps Beer Reserve and Brewed Awakenings Coffee Roasters on the south side of the city. Zaiqa’s social media has not mentioned firm opening dates, but the Ridgefield location continues to be teased.
For the menu, classic Indian and Pakistani dishes can be expected like pakora, chaat, as well as the Chicken 65 which is deep-fried breaded chicken breast pieces with spicy chili sauce. Tandoori bread, desserts and beverages are also offered.
The restaurant was started by owner Adnan Ali who owns the Sherwood restaurant Sultan the Flaming Tandoor. He has previous experience as an executive chef. When contacted, Ali did not responded for comment.
