The neighborhood New England-style seafood cafe Littleneck Outpost in Greenpoint is temporarily closing for renovations and other upgrades coming this fall.
The team put a handwritten sign on their door announcing that they are taking “much-needed time off” to renovate. It also shared that it will offer extended hours and menu options when it reopens this fall. Littleneck Outpost is a cafe and sandwich spot that opened in 2013. It is a spinoff of Littleneck in Gowanus, which opened two years prior. The spinoff offers a wide variety of salads, sandwiches and coffees. It also has a small on-site retail store with ceramics and pantry goods. The team has not shared any further information regarding future menu changes.
It also offers catering and delivery services. The restaurant partners with nonprofits such as Getting Out and Staying Out, a New York City-based program founded in 2003 that helps formerly incarcerated youth reenter society.
