The popular beachfront seafood restaurant Crabby’s Oceanside is preparing to add a new tiki bar concept to its Daytona Beach structure, according to a recent project plan. The bar will share an address with the original Crabby’s Oceanside at 451 South Atlantic Avenue. According to project plans, the bar will be around 2200 square feet and is to be constructed just south of the existing Crabby’s structure, a few yards from the beach

Regional Director Jason Zelenak tells What Now Orlando, “The new bar should be open by the end of 2023. We are finalizing all permits now and will be starting construction as soon as we can.” When asked what the tiki bar will feature that isn’t already available at the standard Crabby’s bar, Mr. Zelenak explained, “The offerings will be similar, but there will be more activities to keep the guests having fun. We will have fun lawn games to keep the guests not just there for the amazing views, but for having a good time. We plan on this area also greatly reducing the amount of time that guests are waiting to get a table.”

The bar will be operated by Beachside Hospitality Group, which also manages 11 seafood restaurants across Florida such as The Salty Crab and Crabby’s Dockside. According to its website, Beachside Hospitality Group has “over 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry”. The group’s restaurants boast a robust seafood menu such as Bairdi Crab, Prince Edward Island mussels, and Rock Shrimp.
