If you’ve been waiting for the reopening of Hawaiian BBQ and poke restaurant Bowlz LV, don’t lose heart: the brand is currently searching for its next home.

“Aloha Bowlz Fam, we are closed in to further notice,” the restaurant announced on Facebook on December 4. “Waiting for a few things to go thru to get in to our new spot.”

Word began to spread that that new location would open at 7768 W Lake Mead Blvd, in the Island Flavor space, but plans there have fallen through, owner Trevis Nishioka told What Now on Thursday.

“We’re in the process of looking at other locations,” Nishioka said. “We’re just trying to find the best spot.”

For now, at least, the menu will remain exactly as it is, although Nishioka hints that an expansion may be on the horizon, saying “We might branch off at a few other locations.”

And so the search for a new Bowlz LV home continues, as the brand’s longtime fans clamor for its return.

“A lot of people are waiting for us to reopen,” said Nishioka, expressing confidence in the quality of the Bowlz product and the experience. “We’re definitely going to be one of the best places in town. We’re trying to show Las Vegas what real Hawaiian food is like.”
