A new Italian restaurant is preparing to open its doors in Fort Lauderdale. Called Zito’s Italian Restaurant, it’s launching at 2850 N Federal Highway.
“It’s Italian food with a fusion of old and new cuisine,” Chef Sam, the culinary force behind the restaurant, told What Now on Thursday. “We’re going to working with ingredients coming directly from Italy: 100% authentic Italian cuisine.”
Most of the menu is still under wraps, but Chef Sam gives one evocative example: a Cacio e Pepe with caramelized pears. “You get the contrast with the salty, the sweet, the spicy.”
Chef Sam is also at work on a memorable cocktail list to accompany Zito’s authentic Italian cuisine in a space the chef describes as casual upscale.
Opening in the North Federal Highway location, Zito’s Italian Restaurant will be situated just across the street from The Original Pancake House.
