According to Eater, San Diego-based Craft Brewery Ballast Point is bringing its hoppy Sculpin IPA to Mission Bay. Their new brewpub will open later this year on the ground floor of the recently-built Exchange, at 705 16th Street.

The new location is a short walk from AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants, and the Golden State Warrior’s Chase Center, and, according to Brew Public, will feature a full menu, wine list, and draft beers exclusive to the San Francisco market in addition to their signature drafts.

Once owned by Constellation Brands Inc., Ballast Point sold to Kings & Convicts — a small, Illinois-based brewery — in 2019, and is finishing construction on its 12,000-square-foot San Francisco space now, which will include a 1,500 square foot outdoor patio.

Stay tuned for details regarding how soon you can head to their new spot for a dry and hazy Big Gus IPA, or, if you’re more of a lager drinker, a lemony, peppery Wee Gus.
