Closed since October, the Wild Carvery opened the doors of its new spot last week, located at 130 N. San Fernando Blvd.
A block away from its old location, at 150 E. Olive Ave., which was situated on the first floor of a three-story office building, poor ventilation was one reason for the move.
“We signed the lease on February 5… I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, I’m just hoping it’s not a train,” Owner Vahe Aiwazian joked.
Across the street from several restaurants, such as Granville at 121 N. San Fernando Blvd, in the heart of downtown Burbank, Aiwazian is eager to make this home stick.
“The first few days there are always hiccups but we’re looking for it to keep getting better and better everyday. I’m just hoping things get back to normal and we can have dine-in when it’s safe,” he added.
Wild Carvery prides itself on serving real, organic and healthy food to customers.
“Our bread is delivered on a daily basis, we don’t fry anything but fires and use 100% grass-fed beef,” Aiwazian added. “We have all natural healthy food with big potions that won’t leave you hungry.”
Taking over what used to be an Asian restaurant, Aiwazian said renovation went very smoothly with a few things that needed to be painted over and cleaned up as it was “basically a turn key operation.”
