Homebuilding company Taylor Morrison has plans for 131 townhomes on an 8-acre site along South Western Avenue in Northwest San Pedro, according to a planning case file opened by the city on Tuesday. The homes would be built within Subarea 5 of the Ponte Vista at San Pedro Specific Plan if approved.
The filing follows planning director approvals last year for the construction of 79 single-family homes by homebuilder KB Home within Subarea 3, as well as 86 single-family homes by Texas-based D.R. Horton within Subarea 1, which, respectively, are east and north of Subarea 5. Each of the three sites is owned by SoCal San Pedro SPV 1 LLC, which state filings show is registered at the LA address of Harridge Development Group.
Slated for 26900 and 27812 S. Western Avenue, the Taylor Morrison community would consist of townhomes with three different floor plans across six different elevation types that plans show including “Mediterranean Eclectic,” Early California Modern,” and “California Modern.” Two-floor plans would be 3-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom, while the other would have 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms.
The townhomes would range in size from about 1,640 square feet to 1,829 square feet, plans show.
The architect for the project is listed as Newport Beach-based WHA Architects Planners Designers, with the landscape architect being Brightview Design Group.
Disgusting. These houses have to type of yard. Can we stop cramming people onto a lot. That’s no quality of life
this is now beyond absurd. when is some one going to stand up and say enough.
