New York City-based upscale bar The Ainsworth is coming to Phoenix. The swanky sports bar, known for its gold-dusted chicken wings, will open soon in the space that The Hard Rock Cafe occupied for 25 years, downtown at 3 South 2nd Street, on the corner of 2nd and East Jefferson.

According to ABC 15, East Coast Saloons has partnered with Scott and Melissa McIntire, who own The Lola at Westgate Entertainment District in Glendale, to open The Ainsworth — which already has eight locations, five of which are in New York — and will showcase The Lola’s menu, in addition to some of the American classics The Ainsworth is famous for.

Reportedly, the bar’s main entrance will be on 2nd street, complete with industrial garage doors and an indoor-outdoor vibe, as well as an extended patio on Jefferson Street. Inside should be a mix of bar seating, high top tables, booths, and, in typical Ainsworth fashion, plenty of chandeliers and TVs.

The bar is reportedly planning a soft open for mid-may, with a grand opening on the books later in the summer.
