Founder Tomo Takahashi opened his first US restaurant in 2010, after ten years’ experience in Japan’s restaurant industry. New to the US and feeling homesick for his his daily ramen dose, JINYA Ramen Bar was born in the hopes of bringing Americans authentic, handcrafted Japanese cuisine.
Today, the restaurant, which is named after a samurai soldier from Takahashi’s hometown, has forty locations in the US and Canada, and is hailed for its rich broth, handmade noodles, and commitment to authentic Japanese flavors.
Until now, Arizonans have been deprived of JINYA Ramen Bar’s hot and spicy noodle soups, but this week, all of that’s about to change.
The restaurant plans to open its first AZ location on Thursday, April 29th at 30 S Arizona Avenue in downtown Chandler’s New Square.
With a hearty selection of ramen, rice bowls, curries, and even Japanese-style mini tacos, JINYA Ramen Bar is ramen culture at its finest, so do yourself a favor and kick off your weekend with a dose of their slow-cooked broth, which, by the way, is simmered in house for ten hours.
