For those of you who don’t know her, Denise McCreery is something of an alchemist. According to d’Vine Gourmet’s website, the artisan gift shop’s very first endeavor “was to turn wine into jelly”—a rather ingenious idea that was met with much enthusiasm at the local farmers’ market. D’Vine Gourmet’s commercial kitchen was the next logical step, and today the shop produces “a varied and award winning line of jams, mustards, candies, snacks and spices.”
D’Vine Gourmet has been supporting Arizona’s local economy since 2003 and features Arizona food products, wines, and gifts, from artisan soaps to artisan condiments.
Why is this news, you might ask? Well, d’Vine’s is planning a big move from its current location, on the corner of S. Alma School Rd. and Chandler Heights, to a more ideal locale.
According to Jess Harter’s Mouth by Southwest, d’Vine Gourmet will take over Sibley’s West gift shop space at 72 S San Marcos Place in Chandler, as the owners of Sibley’s are planning to retire. We are unable to confirm a moving date, as McCreery was unavailable for comment at the time of this article.
But if you’re like me, and you love good wine and wordplay, you’ll be happy to learn d’Vine Gourmet’s relocation will be even more convenient for Chandlerites.
