Space formerly home to Posie Ice Cream won’t sit dark long. After announcing last week it had closed its doors for good in an Instagram announcement, plans this week have surfaced for a replacement.

Keikofish LLC has filed liquor license application paperwork to replace the dessert shop, at 250B Magnolia Ave., and the restaurant’s namesake Keiko Arata is anxious to bring fresh Japanese food to the people of Baltimore Park.

While the conversation was brief, Arata Tuesday told What Now San Francisco that she is planning on opening the restaurant within the next two to three months, evidently planning a grand opening for fall 2021.

With the liquor license application already in the works, the next step will be to prepare the building for its new tenant.

The current location features ample parking and plenty of room for outdoor dining. Magnolia Avenue is a popular street in the Baltimore Park neighborhood of Larkspur and it features multiple cafes, pizza places, and traditional restaurants. Keikofish appears to be the only restaurant in the area specializing in Japanese cuisine.
