Akitaca Crab Seafood Restaurant is the latest concept from owner Fei Lin and it will be coming to 1800 Prescott Road #13. Prior to opening Akitaca, Lin previously operated Linq Buffet and Dechina Buffet, both of which have since closed. Lin also operates Sakura Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi, which is still running strong after 5 years of successful operation.

Not much information has been revealed yet, but the recent sign acquired for the restaurant indicates that the restaurant will be specializing in Japanese seafood, building upon the reputation Lin has established with Sakura. Akitaca will also be serving beer and wine, having already acquired the necessary licenses from the state.

Akitaca will be replacing the Four Seasons Chinese Buffet that previously occupied the space. The Four Seasons Buffet meanwhile has moved to a new location further up Prescott Road.

Akitaca’s Prescott Road location is right next Modesto Junior College’s West Campus, which means lots of hungry students will be making their way to the new restaurant. Prescott Road is a busy thoroughfare with many fast food restaurants nearby, but Akitaca will be the only seafood restaurant within walking distance from Modesto Junior College.

No word has been given yet on when Akitaca is expected to open, Fei Lin is hesitant to share any more information until all the permits have been finalized. In the meantime, visit Sakura Steakhouse and Sushi to support Fei and get a clearer picture of what to expect from Akitaca.
