Stop everything—your weekend plans are about to change.

For only the second time, Happy Ice, the LA-based food truck that serves up vegan frozen desserts with fruit flavors, is coming to town. Tomorrow, Friday, the 13th through Sunday, the 15th, you can find Lemeir Mitchell’s sensation around town.

Happy Ice set out on its first Happiness Tour last year in the midst of the pandemic, and SD was on the list. Speaking of the experience, Mitchell told us,  “The San Diego line was crazy, two hours long…there was just so much love, everyone was so patient and happy that we knew we just had to come back.” This year, San Diego is kicking off the tour.

And that’s not all. Mitchell is using this visit to scout out a more permanent San Diego home for his company. That’s right, the goal is for Happy Ice to find a brick-and-mortar spot right here in San Diego by next year. “While I’m down there this weekend, my goal is to stop and see a couple of places I’ve already contacted,” Mitchell added. Mitchell hopes Happy Ice will have an SD home by 2022.

In the meantime, you really don’t want to miss your opportunity to partake in the joy. “I always recommend the rainbow rocket,” says Mitchell, “It’s every flavor we have inside of the cup.” Follow Happy Ice’s social media for more information.
