Little Original Joe’s is opening a sit-down restaurant at 2301 Chestnut St. in the Marina District. SF Chronicle reports that doors will open officially in late 2022. The corner space was previously home to a Lucky Brand Jeans location.

This will be the fourth culinary venture for Duggan family, who owns and operates the longstanding San Francisco restaurant Original Joe’s on Union St. and its second location in Daly City. They originally debuted Little Original Joe’s as a spinoff concept in West Portal back in December 2020.

While they intended it to be a sit-down restaurant, circumstances caused by the ongoing pandemic made the West Portal location into more of an Italian market that served take-out. With the second location opening in the Marina District, they will get to debut Little Original Joe’s as initially intended.

The concept for Little Original Joe’s was to serve the top Italian-American dishes from Original Joe’s alongside a pizza menu. Now, this concept will come to fruition in the 3,600 square-foot space that will have indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a bar. In addition to serving lunch and dinner daily, they plan to open for brunch on the weekends.
