According to a recent permit filing, Willamette Wine Spa has filed for a location that was once home to Massage Envy at 1517 NE Broadway.

“We will be opening in September of this year. Willamette Wine Spa’s services center on the healing benefits and antioxidants found in grapes and wine, and utilizing them for wellness treatments in massages, facials, and vinotherapy soaks.”

“On our menu, you’ll find offerings like a Cabernet body scrub, Chardonnay facial, and of course, the opportunity to soak in actual red wine,” CEO Kelly Lewis told What Now Portland.

“Our spa concept is rooted in ancient beauty traditions (Cleopatra herself was rumored to have bathed in wine) but reimagined for today’s wellness. We also proudly feature and serve Willamette Valley wines.”

“I’m also the founder of a women’s tour company – Damesly. The idea for Willamette Wine Spa was inspired by my travels throughout Eastern Europe and the many wine spas I visited there. I loved the concept so much, that I kept thinking “This should exist in Portland!”

Willamette Wine Spa’s permit filing states that the planned days of operation will be every day from 10 AM to 8 PM with no seasonal variation. Willamette Wine Spa was filed for under Willamette Wine Spa LLC.

According to Bizapedia, Willamette Wine Spa LLC was incorporated on August 10th, 2023. Listed on the business and permit filing is Kelly Lewis.

For the property itself, according to Loop Net, the building was built back in 1970 and boasts approximately 8,100 square feet of leasable area. Loop Net describes the property as being “Located just blocks from Portland’s retail shopping center, Lloyd Center Mall.”

“NE Broadway benefits from both busy residential neighborhoods and also active commercial businesses. Co-tenants include Aztec Willie’s Taqueria and Great Wine Buys.”
