A new restaurant called Noma Sushi is coming to 152 South Blvd. in San Mateo, according to a recent beer and wine application found in state public records. The new restaurant will be located off CA-82, in the space formerly home to the gourmet Chinese restaurant JunYue Bistro.
Owner Qingyun Li confirmed with What Now San Francisco that Noma Sushi is planned to open on January 5, 2021. The name of the restaurant is an obvious tip as to what kind of menu we can expect, while our source suggests that there will also be a selection of beer and wine to wash it all down.
Li is close to finalizing a menu, but says that more information is to come as we get closer to the opening. Until that happens, keep an eye on this location for any further developments.
