Pacific Catch on Chestnut Street is likely to see an expansion this year. What Now San Francisco has obtained city public records of a project proposal, which entails the west coast fish house taking over the neighboring space at 2025 Chestnut St.

The retail space at this address is currently occupied by local jewelry store Monkey on Chestnut, which Google lists as “Temporarily Closed” as of this publication. Additionally, a banner hung on the storefront notes that operations have moved entirely online.

If the project is approved, Pacific Catch’s takeover of this space will include a new storefront and tenant improvements to combine the restaurant with the former jewelry store. Pacific Catch’s current address is right next door at 2027 Chestnut St., where they’ve set up outdoor dining booths along the sidewalk during the pandemic.

If they are able to take over the Monkey on Chestnut space, they will be able to expand their dining room to accommodate up to 50 more guests at a time. The restaurant is known for serving ethically and sustainably sourced seafood from the Pacific Rim.

Representatives for Pacific Catch could not be reached for comment at the time of publication. Timing of our source suggests that if all goes according to plan, the expansion may reach completion this summer. For more information, visit pacificcatch.com.
