According to an observant member of Bay Area Eats on Facebook, a new restaurant is under construction next to the Kaiser Permanente Fremont Medical Center. Melting Wok is coming to 39370 Civic Center Drive, replacing the former Picnic Sandwich Bistro.
Fresh signage at the site indicates that Melting Wok specializes in Korean fusion cuisine, but as for what exactly that entails is still yet to be known. There currently is no obvious website for the new establishment, which suggests that this is a brand new business that is still in development.
What Now San Francisco has reached out to possible owners for Melting Wok, who haven’t responded by the time of publication. Until we know more, all we can do is keep an eye on this address for further developments. We will update this post with new information when it is obtained.
