Yukdaejang, the chain restaurant with more than 200 locations in Korea is planning to open their first San Diego outpost. According to a recent permit filing, the new restaurant is planned for Independence Square in Clairemont Mesa.
The traditional Korean restaurant specializes in YukGaeJang, a rich stew with beef, vegetables, and noodles. They also serve handmade dumplings filled with pork and kimchi, and bossam, a Korean-style boiled pork belly.
Yukdaejang has expanded since making their start in Seoul in 2016 with locations popping up throughout LA and Orange County. They operate restaurants in Gardena, San Gabriel, Irvine, Buena Park, and their Koreatown location in Los Angeles has been recognized on recommendation lists by Goop and the LA Times.
