Tifa Chocolate & Gelato is coming soon to 4935 S. Val Vista Drive in southern Gilbert. What Now Phoenix has obtained a permit in city public records for work on a brand new shell space built on the southeast corner of Val Vista and Queen Creek.
The dessert café was founded in 2007 in Los Angeles County, originally selling international chocolate testing kits online, then out of a mall kiosk. After finding that customers were receptive to their products, Tifa decided to open their first full chocolate and gelato shop in 2008.
The family-owned business eventually began franchising and now has locations across the country. This shop in Gilbert will be their first Arizona outpost, which will ostensibly open later this year as they are currently under construction.
