Luck Gai Cafe, a new Thai restaurant specializing in Kao Mun Gai (Hainan chicken & rice), will be coming to Anaheim later this year, located at 3440 E. Orangethorpe Ave.

The new restaurant hopes to open its doors by the end of the year, hopefully by October, according to owner Mindy Ruamsamu. Hainanese chicken and rice is a very popular dish in Southeast Asia and serves as a staple to their street food. The dish was adapted from early Chinese immigrants from Hainan province within Southern China.

“When Thai people can’t decide what to eat, Khao Man Gai is one of the very first choices for us because we know that it is satisfying and fast, which can be eaten often like burgers and sandwiches,” reads their website.

Luck Gai Cafe heavily favors ginger and garlic in their recipes, which have numerous health benefits. All dishes come with a plain chicken broth to clear your palette and a refreshing cucumber salad.
