Yoga-urt, Los Angeles’ only plant-based, all-organic, soy-free, and gluten-free soft- erve frozen yogurt shop, is expanding to a third location in Santa Monica, located at 1700 Ocean Park Blvd.

The new location replaces Treats Frozen Yogurt Bar and will officially open on Saturday, Oct. 16, owner Melissa Schulman tells What Now Los Angeles. The new Yoga-urt will have seven to ten different rotating flavors at a time. To commemorate the company’s milestone, Yoga-urt will give away free minis to customers from 2 pm to 4 pm on Oct. 16 and Oct. 17. During this particular opening, the new location will also showcase its new branded compostable cups, as well as offering a brand new flavor.

“Customers have been asking for a new store for several years, and I’ve wanted a store on the Westside for a while, so when I heard about the opportunity of succeeding Treats Frozen Yogurt Bar with a new Yoga-urt storefront, I immediately saw it as a beautiful opportunity to expand our community,” Schulman said in a press release. “We are beyond grateful for the continued support of our customers and look forward to introducing Yoga-urt to the local residents of Santa Monica and surrounding areas. We will continue to honor this location as a peaceful space where the community can gather and. enjoy Yoga-urt’s guiltless selection of wholesome and authentic craft soft serve in an eco-conscious environment.”

Schulman first opened Yoga-urt in 2015 at its original location in Glendale at 1407 W. Kenneth Rd. Four years later, the restaurant expanded to a second location in Echo Park. Schulman’s mission was to offer healthier soft serve that is made daily within their stores. Their flavors are made with hand-squeezed almond milk with all organic and dairy-free ingredients and added probiotics. Yoga-urt offers over 30 nut-based handcrafted rotating flavors soft serve, including Chocolate Bliss, Salted Caramel Zen, and Peanut Butter Prana.
