Downtown Los Angeles’ Margarita’s Place is expanding to a second location in Arlington Heights, located at 2580 Venice Blvd.

The new restaurant will move into a brand new 943 square-foot space at the beginning of next year. It comes along with two other new tenants moving into the space, which used to be the Venice Auto Body Shop. The auto shop closed, and the building was torn down to accommodate a new strip mall. Margarita’s Place will sit next to Piara Pizza, which is also opening early 2022.

Margarita’s Place first opened its doors at 103 E 7th St in 2000 under owner Bernardo Vergara. They provide authentic Mexican dishes using their in-house recipes. Customers can find all kinds of Mexican favorites, including menudo, various tacos, and even a breakfast menu. Margarita’s Place also offers several drinks such as horchata, sangria, and champurrado. The new Margarita’s Place is expected to bring the same menu to the new location.

This area should be an ideal spot for the new Margarita’s Place, considering the limited Mexican options in the area. The closest Mexican restaurant near the new Margarita’s Place will be Taco City, La Cevicheria, and occasional taco trucks such as Tacos Como. The new restaurant has agreed to a 10-year lease agreement, according to a lease comp provided by CoStar.
