Beetle House, the year-round Halloween-inspired restaurant that celebrates all things spooky, is possibly expanding to Hollywood, located at 7080 Hollywood Blvd.
The Beetle Juice-loving restaurant started in East Village, NY, back in 2016 before expanding to Hollywood a year later. Owner Zach Neil tells What Now Los Angeles he plans on bringing “a true Las Vegas experience” to Hollywood. Their newest location will sit in an 11,500 square-foot location within the Hollywood Entertainment Plaza. Despite the company recently signing the lease for the new restaurant, their agreement doesn’t begin until August 2022. Neil was able to confirm the address with What Now Los Angeles, but wasn’t able to disclose if this is an expansion or relocation.
When it does open, customers can expect to see the same large venue similar to the original LA location at 1714 N. Las Palmas Ave. On top of the three-course meal you get to choose, Beetle House is also used as a venue where guests can see some strange sights. Some of the unusual acts seen at this venue include sword swallowers, fire eaters, magicians, psychics, mentalists, sideshow acts, contortionists, and impersonators.
“In short, we are kind of like an adult Halloween party with a Burtonesque feel, curated by Alfred Hitchcock, with a 90s goth band on stage and everyone is wearing weird costumes,” according to their website. “We are a safe place where every goth, punk, freak, weirdo, artist, and visitor is welcomed and celebrated.”
CORRECTION: The previous article misstated the company was moving to West Hollywood. The newest location will also be in Hollywood. It is unknown if this is an expansion or a relocation.
