One of Southern California’s busiest seafood restaurant chains, Fishbone Seafood Restaurant, is opening three more locations in Los Angeles: Woodland Hills, Whittier, and Crenshaw.
The seafood chain started in 2015 and has since expanded to 12 other locations throughout Los Angeles. Now, they are getting ready to open three more around Winter 2021. Woodland Hills, located at 5780 Canoga Ave., and Whittier, situated at 4126 Whittier Blvd., have been listed on their website, so expect those to open sooner. On the other hand, Crenshaw, located at 3825 Crenshaw Blvd. #103 has yet to be listed, so that location will likely open last. The Crenshaw location will sit in a 1,726 square-foot area replacing Softone Cleaners.
Last year, Grammy Award-winning producer Mustard and rapper YG started expanding the company even further after taking an ownership stake. When the duo acquired the company, there were only seven existing locations. The new co-owners quickly opened a new location in Torrance and Long Beach. Following the two new restaurants, Fishbone Seafood Restaurant has embarked on a franchisee program. It is unknown who the franchisees for the three new locations will be.
Fishbone Seafood Restaurant is based on the concept of Friday Fish Fry’s, a communal event that brought families together through sharing meals. When the new locations open, customers will enjoy a plethora of seafood options such as fried and grilled versions of red snapper, shrimp, catfish, salmon, tilapia, oysters, prawns, and buffalo fish. The restaurant also offers a handful of sides, salads, po-boys, and desserts.
