New Orleans-based Neyow’s Creole Café is bringing its beloved creole cuisine to Atlanta, kicking off with a special grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday, August 28 that will feature performances by artists Big Freedia, Hot Boy Ronald, Ms. Tee, DJ Captain Charles, the Sabor Brass Band, Zula Tramps and Baby Doll.
“We are excited to be entering the Atlanta area,” Neyow’s Atlanta owner Tamla Pierre-Taylor said in a statement. “Many of our customers have experienced our location in New Orleans on visits there, and they know the quality of our food and the excellent service we provide in addition to the spectacular atmosphere.”
The 6,000-square-foot rooftop restaurant at 131 Walker Street SW in Castleberry Hill will be the third outpost for Neyow, which opened its first location in New Orleans in 2010 and its second in Houston in late 2018. The Atlanta Neyow’s is also the first franchise of the restaurant.
Neyow’s serves distinctly New Orleans cuisine, including gumbo, charbroiled oysters, po-boys, smothered chickee and stuffed crab, along with desserts like beignets, bread pudding and pecan cobbler. The restaurant will offer offsite catering as well as private event space on the rooftop.
The grand opening event will be held from 1 P.M. to 5 P.M. on Saturday.
