Located at 3301 Lenox Square Parkway NE, a new stylish boutique hotel will offer guests unique dining experiences from award-winning Canadian chef Hugh Acheson.
What Now Atlanta has been following the Hyatt Centric Buckhead project from the beginning and it is finally set to open in December of this year, right on the edge of Lenox Square Shopping Center in the heart of Atlanta’s Buckhead neighborhood. According to a statement given to What Now Atlanta, the property was designed to reflect the history of its location, drawing inspiration from Georgia’s ancient pottery heritage and Buckhead’s evolution as a fashion destination.
The 16-story hotel will hold 218 guestrooms, 4,500 square feet of meeting space, a fully equipped fitness center, and an outdoor heated plunge pool.
It will also be home to two signature food and beverage experiences from James Beard Award-winning chef Hugh Acheson. The first experience, Mount Royal, is a Montreal-style steakhouse spotlighting the work of the finest farmers and artisans in the Southeast. Located on the ground-floor, the restaurant draws on French techniques, coupled with the charm and hospitality of the South.
The second experience, Spaceman, is an indoor and outdoor rooftop bar and lounge on the 15th floor that will serve expertly crafted cocktails and shareable bites. TVs and yard games will also be featured throughout.
While a native of Ottawa, Acheson is no stranger to the Atlanta food scene and is known for his Southern cuisine cooking style. He currently owns and operates three restaurants in Georgia: Five & Ten in Athens, Empire State South in Atlanta, and by George in Atlanta. A few of his recognitions include Food & Wine‘s Best New Chef (2002), the Atlanta Journal Constitution Restaurant of the Year (2007), a five time (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011) James Beard nominee and 2012 winner for Best Chef Southeast.
