Mabel’s Gone Fishing has been in the works since 2019, halted and stalled over the years by the pandemic. Now it seems the much anticipated new spot by the team that brought us The Rose Wine Bar in South Park is nearing completion on 30th Street in North Park

Named after Co-Owner Chelsea Coleman’s dog, Mabel, the restaurant will boast a Mediterranean bistro feel and specialize in oysters and gin. Mabel’s replaced a former soccer retailer across from Mr. Moto’s and is a hop from Subterranean Coffee.

From Miss Mabel’s Instagram page, The Rose’s sister restaurant captures the beachy vibe with elegance and class. The female-driven brand embodies Riviera-style fashion and has a taste for the best local cuisine.

The spot will accompany Bodega Rosette, the cozy attached market that sells natural wines and gin. Rosette is open and holds a quarterly Gin Club, which gives subscribers access to a take-home package of specially curated gins, tonics, and mixers.

Mabel’s Gone Fishing is currently seeking a General Manager to take over operations on-site ahead of their opening. The restaurant is projected to open in Spring 2022. Keep updated by following their Instagram page for more.
