Marakas Pizzeria, a Cuban-style pizza joint on 42nd Street in Miami is preparing to open its next location. According to a plan review filed with the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, the new location will appear at 7032 SW 24 Street.

The pizzeria, lead by Chef Juan A. Montero, operates with a self-imposed standard of using the highest quality ingredients, equipment and methods for delivering the area the best and most fresh Cuban pizza. The slogan touted on the website boasts: “from dough mixer to your mouth within an hour.”

What Now spoke with Jorge Ruiz, who is listed in the Division of Corporations as the vice president of the company, to confirm details. An exact opening date has not been set, but Ruiz commented that they are aiming for about a month or so.

The aforementioned plan review was filed on March 23 and is still in process.
