Gourmet cookies and sweets are planned to spread throughout the greater Central Florida area by way of local franchisees John and Whitnee Mitchell. What Now Orlando connected with John Mitchell to hear about the plans.
The couple just opened their first location in Lakeland in April, at 3958 S. Florida Ave, according to a report from Lakeland Now. However, the couple has ambitions to continue spreading the franchise throughout Central Florida.
The next location, which could open as early as late 2022 or early 2023, will be in the north Lakeland area, Mitchell reports. An address at this time as unavailable as they are still scouting for a location to lease.
“It’s a great franchise; it’s a national brand, and it’s something that people have never had in Florida. We’re really hoping to bring it to Polk County and beyond,” Mitchell told What Now on Thursday.
Mitchell doesn’t have an exact number of units he wishes to open. “I just want to open as many as I can, whether that number is 10, 50 or whatever. I just want to open as many as we’re capable of opening,” he commented.
The brand is known for serving gourmet cookies, custom soda drinks and ice cream smoothies. The cookies are made from scratch and baked daily in house, and many of them are served cold with a near cookie dough texture, while others are served at room temperature.
