Humphry Slocombe is coming very soon to Redwood City! On June 24th at 5 p.m., look out for a Humphry Slocombe ice cream truck near the upcoming scoop shop at 2077 Broadway. The company will be serving scoops of their next-level flavors like Secret Breakfast and Blue Bottle Vietnamese Coffee to spread the word about their grand opening in July.
This new location has been at least a year in the making. “After opening two locations in SF and two locations in the East Bay, the natural area to expand is the Peninsula. Our fans have been asking us for a location further south for a while and we found the perfect location in Redwood City,” co-owner Sean Vahey told Peninsula Foodist.
Vahey and Jake Godby founded Humphry Slocombe in 2008 after concocting their signature flavor, Secret Breakfast, a bourbon-based ice cream with corn-flake cookie crumbles. Their “unusual” flavors are what put them on the Bay Area ice cream map, serving refined confections such as Blood Orange Olive Oil and Rose All Day, which are on the menu as of this posting.
