DoorDash is expanding their DashMart service in the area, placing another delivery hub in Carlsbad. According to a recent permit filing, the new DashMart will land in a warehouse located near Bressi Ranch.
The DashMart service can be accessed through the DoorDash app, commonly used for food delivery directly from restaurants. DashMart is a virtual convenience store, where users can purchase everything from snacks and groceries to household items like batteries and toilet paper. The items are then delivered to your door from their warehouse facility.
DashMart launched in 2020 with locations in 10 cities and counting. DashMart operates one San Diego location in Bay Park.
Through DashMart, the company prides itself on highlighting local consumer packaged goods businesses. Their program allows small businesses to expand their reach and offer their products on shelves in local DashMart warehouses. While customers are ordering their essentials, they can also find handcrafted items like a small batch bbq sauce you would typically find at your local farmers market.
DoorDash is currently staffing the new DashMart facility but no word yet on when the service will be fully operational for the North County and coastal communities. For now, users can still access convenience items and groceries through the app via their partnerships with local stores like 7-Eleven, Walgreens, and more.
