Sergio’s Cuban American Kitchen will soon have a food truck available for events and rental in the Miami area. What Now Miami spoke briefly with the CEO of Sergio’s for more details about this new food truck and Sergio’s restaurants.
Sergio’s CEO, Carlos Gazitua, says that customers can “rent the truck for [their] house and for parties…We believe that this will be a huge opportunity for people to not cook at their house and want the food truck to come to their house as long as there is a minimum of amount of people.” Those who rent the truck can pick pre-set meals from Sergio’s regular restaurant menu like Cuban tacos, empanadas, sandwiches and much more. Gazitua also recommends the truck for events like office parties.
Sergio’s has 15 locations throughout Miami, including London Square, Pembroke Pines, the Ft. Lauderdale Airport and Miami International Airport. Sergio’s is a 3rd generation small, local family business that “is known for the unique combination of [their] family’s authentic recipes with typical Cuban and American dishes”, according to their website. Sergio’s menu includes dishes like the Croqueta Pizza, Cuban Chicken Fried Rice, Mojo Shredded Chicken and Filet Mignon Skewers. The restaurant claims to have sold over 20 million croquetas.
