A new restaurant and bar called Copper Bar & Kitchen seeks to move into the Castro District. The restaurant recently applied to take over Oz Burger’s liquor license at 4092 18th St., which is currently home to Wicked 6 Bar & Bites.

In late 2021, Oz Burger underwent a transformation and became Wicked 6 Bar & Bites. Owner Onur “Oz” Ozkynak told Hoodline last year, “The only reason I kept it open was to support my employees… All my suppliers doubled the prices and people started complaining about my prices.”

“Instead of losing money, I’ve decided to make people happy and sell cocktails and fancy bar bites,” he said. Since then, it seemed like Wicked 6 has managed to do just that. The spot has some of the highest ratings in the neighborhood for a wide food selection, great portion sizes, and unbeatable cocktail deals.

We hope that Copper Bar & Kitchen will carry on Wicked 6’s short-lived legacy if this new restaurant does end up moving in. For now, we recommend visiting Wicked 6 Bar & Bites for your next brunch hangs or post-work drinks while it’s still around.
