According to a zoning permit pending with the City of Berkeley, In the Wood Gastropub intends to begin serving distilled spirits, increase its side-alley seating by 133 square feet, and add non-amplified live music inside the restaurant and/or within the exterior alley seating area. Located at 2930 College Avenue, the gastropub is known for “New-American pub eats, pizzas and gluten-free items, plus happy hour deals, in a convivial setting.”

In the Wood serves sandwiches, burgers, salads, pizza made in a wood-fire oven, and plates like spinach and cheese ravioli, fish and chips, grilled salmon, and steak frites. To wash the meal down, patrons can choose from a selection of craft beers and local, sustainable wines. The Elmwood neighborhood gastropub also serves brunch.

In the Wood’s hours are from 11:30 am to 8:30 pm Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm on Wednesday, and from 11:30 am to 9:00 pm on Friday and Saturday.
