Porterhouse has filed for an On-Sale General eating place permit for a new address at 164 S B Street in San Mateo. The application has been marked as pending since October 24th.

It is unclear whether the steakhouse will be opening a second location or leaving its current San Mateo spot at Third Avenue Center.

The Porterhouse website states that the restaurant serves the “finest Mid-West beef available.” They are known for grilling the steaks in front of guests over an open fire and for dry aging their Certified Angus Beef steaks in-house for up to 50 days. In addition to steak, they offer a selection of fish and seafood, and a wine list that “celebrates the renowned wines of Napa Valley, Willamette Valley, France and Italy.”

What Now San Francisco briefly contacted owner Hambdi Ugur, but he was unable to provide further information. An opening date has not yet been announced.
