The Charlotte, North Carolina-based chicken chain Bojangles seems to be planning a new location in Clermont, according to a recent filing with the State of Florida. While the plan review does not disclose an official address, it does list “Collina Terrace” as a site for the upcoming restaurant. It it not clear where Collina Terrace stands in relation to the similarly-named Plaza Collina, also in Clermont, where another Bojangles is set to open soon.
Specializing in southern-style fried chicken dishes, Bojangles serves items such as chicken sandwiches, chicken biscuits, salads, and a variety of sides such as macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, beans, and french fries.
The Clermont Bojangles will be run by the Texas-based Chaac Foods, an enormous, nationally active group which runs famous fast-casual brands such as Pizza Hut, Applebee’s, Cru Food & Wine Bar, Ling & Louie’s and Panda Express. Chaac’s operations are especially concentrated in Maryland, DC, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Georgia and Texas.
What Now Orlando reached out to Michele Turner, COO at Chaac Foods, but she was not immediately available for comment.
Until the Clermont Bojangles opens its doors to the public, foodies can visit its neighboring location at 101 S Oregon Ave in Sanford.
