According to an on-sale beer and wine license application pending since October 27th, a new restaurant, Golden Gate Pho, is coming to 2525 Main Street in Oakley. The eatery will land near Polar Bear Rolled Ice Cream, Burger King, and California Fitness 24/7.

Given the restaurant’s name, it’s safe to assume that Golden Gate Pho will serve pho — a popular Vietnamese soup dish that is made with broth, rice noodles, herbs, and meat — among other light fares typical to Vietnamese restaurants, such as spring rolls, rice noodle plates, and salads.

The restaurant is a welcome addition to Oakley, becoming the first pho eatery in the San Hill neighborhood. While an opening date has not yet been announced, a sign on the storefront announces that the restaurant is “coming soon.”

What Now San Francisco briefly spoke to Thu Phan, Partner at Golden Gate Pho, but she couldn’t provide additional information before publication.
