Happy Vibras Society, a food rescue organization, will soon be opening its debut brick and mortar cafe Happy Vibras Cafe in Tavares, according to a recent filing with the State of Florida. The restaurant will be located at 15200 Old US Hwy 441, next to Taco Time Mexican Grill.

Defining themselves on the organization’s website, Happy Vibras states that they are “a food rescue and food assistance organization that nourishes the body and soul & empowers our community through feeding programs that are committed to rescuing, re-purposing and restoring both food and lives.”

“We train families and individuals in culinary, job placements and help local food & beverage entrepreneurs develop a successful business for growth,” the site continues.

What Now Orlando reached out to Kedir Felix, Vice President, to inquire about the upcoming restaurant’s offerings, its relation to the larger organization, and its potential opening dates, but unfortunately, he was not immediately available for comment.

While little information is available about this intriguing concept, social media activity for the organization shows that a “microgreens workshop” will be held at the cafe in mid-January 2023.
