Banger’s Sausage House, the popular Rainey Street eatery, will soon be undergoing renovations, according to a recent filing with the State of Texas. The restaurant is located at 81 ½ Rainey Street, near establishments such as Gebby’s BBQ and Emmer & Rye.

Defining themselves on their official website, Banger’s states “At the end of the day, Banger’s is all about being a wonderful place to eat, drink and hangout. Not too rowdy, not too laid back, just a good old fashioned good time. Homemade sausage, craft beer, pig roasts, beef jerky, pickled vegetables, spring days in Texas, Sunday brunch, and all forms of Americana & country music are a few of our favorite things.”

While the public filing is sparse in detail, it does state that the scope of work will include the “addition of a walk in cooler addition to the existing building.” In total, the renovation will cost an estimated $200,000 to complete.

What Now Austin reached out to representatives of Banger’s to inquire about the renovations and how they will affect the establishment’s dining and entertainment experience, but they were not immediately available for comment.
