The Central Texas-based chain Mighty Fine Burgers will soon be expanding into Hutto, according to an update on the company website. The location will be built up at 310 Ed Schmidt Blvd, near Dairy Queen and Taco Casa Hutto. The restaurant, as all other Mighty Fine locations, will be run by TC4 & Co, an Austin-based restaurant group which also runs the brands Tony C’s, Tony C’s Pizza & Beer Garden, and The League.
What Now Austin recently spoke to Meg Moody, Marketing Director of TC4 & Co, to inquire about potential opening dates for the upcoming Hutto location, to which she provided a succinct and simple answer: “We’ll open sometime in the summer, but we do not have an exact date just yet.”
Founded in Austin in 2007, Mighty Fine Burgers serves antibiotic, preservative-free and sustainably sourced Angus beef burgers made from Creekstone Farms, ground on-site and hand-formed in the customer’s view. The brand also credits their signature taste and quality to the use of peanut oil which, according to their website, is “highly refined”, “monounsaturated”, and “trans-fat free”. Considering its equal commitment to fresh ingredients and a strong local identity, it is tempting not to compare Mighty Fine to Austin’s ubiquitous burger chain, P Terry’s.
Currently, there are five Mighty Fine brick-and-mortar locations throughout the Austin area, in addition to two trailers and a stand within the University of Texas’s DKR Stadium. The upcoming Hutto location will be the brand’s 9th.
