Pine Ridge Plaza, a small shopping center on the northwest corner of Powerline Road and Commercial Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, appears to be the future home of a new Flavor’s Caribbean Restaurant.

The local Jamaican chain has several locations currently in operation, including in Lantana, Deerfield Beach, and Pompano Beach, and a recently submitted plan review indicates the sixth location is planned for 961 W Commercial Blvd.

Flavor’s Caribbean serves breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m., offering Fried Dumplings, Porridge, Ackee & Saltfish, and the Liver & Callaloo Special. At 11, the dinner menu opens, offering dishes like Oxtails with rice and beans, cabbage or salad, and plantains; Jerk Chicken; and Curry Goat. Sides include Beef Patties and Boiled Dumplings.

At Pine Ridge Plaza, Flavor’s Caribbean would join local businesses like the Kelly Academy of Irish Dance and Electrik Dragon Tobacco Shop. Nearby eateries include Dunkin’, McDonald’s, Miami Subs Grill, and Crisp Eatery and Bar.

What Now was unable to reach a representative of Flavor’s Caribbean Restaurant for comment this week. No opening date has been announced for a Fort Lauderdale Flavor’s Caribbean.
