Fast-growing breakfast specialist Eggspectation is getting ready to expand into the Charlotte area with a new site coming to Ballantyne at 14815 Ballantyne Village Way.

The company’s first North Carolina location is expected to move into Ballantyne Village in late 2023, according to the company’s website. This is the latest of several upcoming restaurants from Eggspectation, including a new Nashville site and a fourth Maryland location in Ellicott City, opening in Spring 2024. The forthcoming location in Charlotte will be franchise-owned by a Maryland-based ownership group.

Eggspectation will provide the shopping center with an all-day breakfast option. When Eggspectation opens later this year, customers can expect plenty of breakfast options, a happy hour, and weekend brunch. While Ballantyne Village has a few breakfast options, such as Panera Bread and Smoothie King, neither offers an authentic dine-in experience. In addition to a vast breakfast and brunch menu, the restaurant also offers more savory comfort foods like pasta, burgers, seafood, salads, flatbreads, tacos, steaks, and more. This will be the company’s 10th US location, with another 13 in Canada. Ballantyne Village is also in the process of welcoming a new Mainstreet Coffee, opening in October.

“From day one, we focused on delivering exceptional food in a trendy and engaging ambiance,” according to the company’s website. “We developed a cosmopolitan-cool vibe utilizing industrial chic décor with contemporary artwork. Curating a menu that would stand out led us to offer a large, satisfying, and quite diverse list of guest favorites. We took staple ingredients and creatively expanded upon them.”
