Malibu-based seafood restaurant chain Broad Street Oyster Co. is currently planning for its fourth location. According to SF Eater, the eatery is expanding to a two-level restaurant space at San Francisco’s Ghirardelli Square, alongside establishments like “Latin restaurant” Barrio, McCormick & Kuleto’s Seafood & Steaks, and SF Brewing Co. & Restaurant.

According to the Broad Street Oyster Co. website, the eatery opened its first brick-and-mortar spot in Malibu in 2019. Self-described as “a little bit coastal and a whole lot of a party,” the restaurant is known for its “World Famous Lobster Roll,” served warm and topped with butter or chilled and served with mayonnaise — with toppings like caviar and uni. In addition to lobster rolls, the Broad Street Oyster Co. menu offers oysters, crab claws, tuna tartare, shrimp cocktails, ceviche, and seafood towers. Beverage options include beer, cider, and natural wine.

Before opening outposts in Los Angeles, Malibu, and Santa Barbara, founder Christopher Tompkins debuted Broad Street Oyster Co. in 2017 as a mobile raw bar.

Broad Street Oyster Co. at 900 North Point Street is predicted to open in mid-2023. What Now San Francisco was unable to contact a company representative by the time of publication.
