The Corporate Code Men’s Store seeks brick purchases to fund Mitchell Street space.

What Now Atlanta readers and other Atlantans have voiced their opinions about the city’s homelessness problems. Here’s an opportunity to make a small but meaningful step towards actually fixing the issue.

Corporate Code, a nonprofit organization that provides “interview appropriate attire and career counseling to displaced and disengaged men,” is opening a brick and mortar store.

James W. Brashears III, the nonprofit’s founder, told What Now Atlanta in an email Wednesday The Corporate Code Men’s Store located at 191 Mitchell Street Downtown, will offer more than just interview attire to Atlanta’s homeless, formerly incarcerated and unemployed individuals seeking employment.

The 2,500-square-foot space will provide Corporate Code clients with a personal shopper that will help them with the suiting process, career counseling services, computers for job searching and classes to help its clients with time management, conflict resolution and financials.

Corporate Code is selling bricks that will be displayed in the lobby of the retail/office space for $25.00 each to raise funds for its brick and mortar location. Each brick will be engraved with the donor’s name.

Being a part of this powerful campaign you will play a key role in helping us convert our retail/office space to support our day to day operations and equip our clients with the tools and resources necessary to rebuild their self esteem, confidence, and provide them with the proper attire necessary in presenting the best first impressions.

Corporate Code’s goal is to sell 1000 bricks. Donations can be made here and more information on Corporate Code can be found here.

When the retail store will open has not be confirmed.
