A restaurant concept focused on employing and mentoring foster youth is opening another location in Houston. La La Land Kind Cafe is planning a storefront at 3502 Shepherd Dr. in Houston, according to a recent project filing.
The 100% organic cafe from founder Francois Reihani offers a variety of coffees, lattes, teas, matcha drinks, and more. Guests can also grab a bite from an array of toasts including “the queen” avocado toast and the hazelnut toast. Overnight oats and chia seed pudding options are also available.
Renovations could begin on the nearly 1,500-square-foot space in Houston in early 2023 and be complete by next summer. La La Land Kind Cafe currently has two Houston locations—600 N. Shepherd Dr., Ste. 140 and 888 Westheimer Rd., Ste. 106.—plus half a dozen in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and one in California, according to the brand’s website.
The website states “the name la la land land represents a dream world,” and La La Land Kind Cafe wants to be “a place where you walk in and feel a true sense of joy for life. a place where you are loved for who you are. a place that brings together all human beings. a place where kindness is priority.”
