According to recent permits, a full bar is being added to the ground floor of the upcoming Hilton-branded Homewood Suites and Canopy hotel, with an address of 910 Division St. in The Gulch.
Though an exact grand opening date is not yet known, the hotel is expected to open sometime in 2024.
“The 11-story property, which will mark Hilton’s first lifestyle hotel in Nashville, is slated for completion in 2024,” states the Hilton website.
The building, once home to Yazoo’s brewery operations, was acquired by Charlotte, N.C.-based Tara Investments Inc. in 2018. Construction on the site has been ongoing, and originally the project was slated to open in 2022, however permitting and construction delays have pushed the timeline out to early 2024, if not later.
According to a press release from the company, the restaurant portion of the ground-floor bar will be called Common Place. It’s likely to be a casual yet upscale environment serving modernized American comfort food, with a full bar and curated cocktail list. This type of concept would fit right in with the slew of higher-end eateries and hotels in The Gulch neighborhood.
“The hotel will offer an authentic food and beverage experience, drawing inspiration from the community’s culture. ‘Common Place’ on the ground floor will serve as a multi-purpose, casual and communicative space for locals to eat, drink and play throughout the day. It will offer a coffee bar, restaurant and Yazoo taproom to pay tribute to the former brewery,” states the release.
Tara Investments Inc. is a family-owned and operated business, initially getting its start in Music City with the purchase of the Hampton Inn & Suites Nashville Airport in 2003, as reported by the Nashville Post. It will oversee operations of the Hilton Homewood Suites and Canopy Nashville in collaboration with the Hilton brand.
