According to a recent report in Orlando Weekly, James Beard Award nominee and 2023 finalist for Best Chef South Henry Moso will be opening a new establishment in Winter Park. The 2,456-square-foot space will be found at 1100 S. Orlando Ave, the current home of Bitebound in the City Place.
The restaurant will “feature an island bar with 30+ seats, where Moso and his chefs will serve cylindrical rolls fashioned from premium roasted Japanese nori and filled with everything from dry-aged fish to foie gras to vegetables,” Orlando Weekly reports, adding that “hand rolls will range in price from $5-$12. Sake, beer, wine and sake-based cocktails will also be served.”
Readers unfamiliar with Chef Henry Moso’s work can sample his culinary vision at Kabooki Sushi in East Colonial and Sand Lake, a sushi restaurant which combines “locally sourced, seasonal ingredients with the best cuts from Japan for a dining experience centered on quality control, excitement, and surprise,” according to the official website.
Weekly reports that the restaurant is projected to finish next summer, after a six- to eight-month buildout.
