Oakland’s Korean eatery Bowl’d is relocating from its address at 4869 Telegraph Avenue to 6101 Telegraph Avenue and is slated to reopen this summer. The address was formerly home to Oriental BBQ Chicken Town and nearby eateries include Addis Ethiopian restaurant, KFC, and Mexican restaurant Shiloh’s Cuisine.
Co-owner Chi Moon tells What Now San Francisco that she and her sister and co-owner, Jessica Kwon, are waiting on permits at the moment, but says that patrons can expect the concept and menu to remain unchanged.
For Oakland residents who haven’t visited the eatery yet, Bowl’d describes itself as a “Korean eatery serving build-your-own rice bowls, tabletop grilled dishes, fried chicken, and drinks” In addition to these items, its menu offers small plates like kimchi pancakes and spicy rice cakes, and mains such as barbeque, cold noodle bowls, rice bowls, stews and soups, and ramen.
Bowl’d also has locations in Alameda and Albany that are open and operating as normal and can be visited between 11 am and 9:30 pm, seven days a week.
